I hope everyone is getting a chance to enjoy the nice weather this week!
On Saturday we will be preparing a Father’s Day surprise for all the dads and caregivers, therefor the craft will remain a secret for the week.
We are working hard to assure we can make it to the pool this week since we missed out this past Saturday. Please make sure you have your swim stuff packed as well as outdoor gear (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen) incase we are unable to safely get to the pool.

As some of you might know, Jessica (Program Coordinator) is going to be absent for the month of June. I (Danielle-Assistant Program coordinator) will be taking over the role for the month with the help of Samiha as Assistant Program Coordinator.
This week, we will be having fun “Under the Sea”. We will be making a Jelly Fish as the craft and will have fun with an ocean themed sensory activity. If the weather is nice, we might spend some time outside, so please bring a hat, sunscreen, jacket, etc.
Please pack your swimming attire as we are plan on going to the pool.

This Saturday at program will be a Pirate day! Please feel free to dress up in "Pirate attire". In honour of our theme, we will be having a treasure hunt around the centre and in the room. Participants will be paired with volunteers and staff in order to facilitate this. Once all the clues and items are collected, participants will come and get a prize from the "treasure chest ".
Please assure that all swimming essentials are packed as we intend to go to the pool.
This Saturday we are getting ready to celebrate the Mothers and Caregivers in our lives. Our craft will remain a surprise this year to make a little extra special!

This week at GACSN we will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo. We encourage everyone to dress in bright colours.
Our afternoon will include making "Fiesta Lanterns" as well as singing and using our Maracas to engage in our musical performance .
We intend to visit the pool, so please assure that all swimming essential are packed.
With the nicer weather we are seeing more hats , please label with names for easy identification.

This Saturday we will not be going on an outing as outlined in the events calendar. We have mostly cover staff filling in this Saturday for our regular staff. Due to this we will reschedule our outing to a later date.
With that being said we will be going on a "mini outing” to Nun’s Park, located about a 5 minute walk from the centre (weather permitting). If not, we will do our alternative indoor games.
This weeks craft will be a group project were our individual pieces come together to make a "friendship tree". This activity is to outline and demonstrate "together we help each other grow and together everyone achieves more" .
Lastly , please assure to pack all swimming essentials as we intend on visiting the pool.
I hope you all had a safe and joyful long weekend! This Saturday April 22nd we will be back at the Bob MacQuarrie centre.
Our afternoon will consist of making puzzle piece magnets to honour Autism awareness, swimming and we will have our special musical performance. The Maracas we made last Program will be handed out to allow us all to join in !
